From a very young age Sofia was compelled to understand the deeper meaning of all things. Although her curious nature and determination were useful in building a successful business, her real journey to delve into the meaning of life was prompted by catastrophic life experiences. That pivotal point triggered her to leave all she knew behind. Her ability to carve her own path has enabled her to transform painful experiences into a new beginning. Inherently introspective, she explores topics people would prefer to avoid or gloss over. Sofia is not afraid to lead others where most people are afraid to go for the purpose of healing; by facing the underbelly of sorrow, she has cultivated the material from which she draws on to touch the lives of so many. Sofia currently resides in Atlanta. She is a Filmmaker, Author, and Speaker, who travels the country for her work. The creative work Sofia Wellman is known for to date is the film, "Death as Life," and the book, "If the Shoe Fits, Go Barefoot." She just completed her newest film, "What’s Love Got To Do With It."
