Sheila Craan is a children's author and graduate of Queen's College, CUNY, who loves sharing her stories with young readers. Sheila is the author of a storybook series featuring a curious lizard named Mister Ses, taking children on educational and entertaining adventures in the imaginary town of Stockville. She also created and illustrated The Lion and the Lamb, a picture book for preschool boys. It tells the story of a ferocious lion learning to smile, thereby teaching the concept of humility. Her other work, The Alligator in the Pond, has recently been re-edited with a more vibrant and realistic plot that teaches children to be cautious. Two of her children's books are written in French: J’ai trouvé un lézard qui vit dans mon robinet, L’alligator dans l’étang Sheila inspires parents to read with kids through her insightful picture books and web stories, bringing joy to children everywhere.
