Royal Wade was born a cowboy riding a rugged Mountain Range along the border of Arkansas and Oklahoma, where outlaws like Cole Younger, Belle Starr, and U.S. Marshals rode. To reach legend status writing 19th century period novels, one must have lived some of it. Here is the bomb shell. Royal Wade Kimes is a descendant of notorious outlaws who ran with Pretty Boy Floyd, Bonnie and Clyde, and Ma Barker. His Uncle Roy Kimes escaped from every penitentiary he was put in, until Alcatraz.
