I was lucky to be made redundant from my corporate career in 2001 when my son was one and my daughter a small bump. I started a small consulting firm, just me, and this allowed me to truly achieve work-life balance, enabling me to spend many valuable hours with my children as they grew. My world lurched once again when the children were six and eight and I found myself a single dad sharing care of my children with my ex-wife. This book is the result of my journey as a single dad raising two wonderful, challenging children. I have a PhD in management and still run my consulting business. I'm writing a management book with a colleague I met during my studies, I'm collecting material for a sequel to this book, and I occasionally teach on management topics.
