Robert C. Carroll was born in Livingston, Texas. He moved with his family to Beaumont, Texas at an early age. He was raised and educated in his home town. Bob worked in the oil industry (Chevron Oil Chemicals) most of his career, but retired early and was a contractor/home builder for 12 years before retiring in 2002. He and wife, Wanda, now live in a resort community in Southeast Texas. His hobby's are golf, photography, reading and playing music.(guitar)His love of books, as shown in "The Nacogdoches Trail", has been an important part of his life. Most of his literary interest is in Historical Fiction. As a musician/singer he was featured on many country music shows, including The Louisiana Hayride.
