Peter Grehan has been a lifelong fan of science fiction in general and Doctor Who in particular. His connection with Doctor Who includes working as an extra on the series including one episode where he was exterminated by a Dalek! He has also worked at the BBC’s Doctor Who Experience as a Host and Tour Guide and as a freelance guide on BritMovie Doctor Who location tours. Between 1994 and 1997 Peter Grehan was chairman of the Welsh Speculative Writers Foundation, which published ‘Beyond the Boundaries’ magazine and in that capacity he was a panellist at the European small press science fiction convention, held in Dublin (October 1997), and the UK Year of Literature and Writing 1995 Swansea arts festival . In April 1999 he was commissioned by 'BBV Productions' to write an audio script for their first Sontaran story. In 2003 he went to University as a 'mature student' and gained a first class BSc (Hons) in Science and Science Fiction followed by a MA in Scriptwriting. Both degrees enabled him to put all those hours of watching and reading about science fiction and Doctor Who to good use. He later lectured on the Science and Science Fiction degree. He now works full time as a freelance writer. He lives in South Wales and is married to Jane who supports in so many ways.
