Nancy Pitts was born in Lebanon, Indiana, and now lives in St. Louis, Missouri, where she enjoys spending time with her husband and grandchildren. Her first published piece was a booklet (for entry-level secretaries), which was promoted by McGraw-Hill in the late 1980's. Nancy's latest book, When You Come Home, was a culmination of ten years of interviewing, researching, writing, and more writing. Published in 2011 by Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, When You Come Home is a World War II love story about Nancy's mother, Daphne Cavin. First shared by Tom Brokaw in his book, The Greatest Generation, Daphne’s story is told in its entirety in When You Come Home.
