Mary Beth Laufer has a degree in English education from SUNY Albany. Her stories for children have been published in Highlights, Cicada, and Shoofly, as well as in Chicken Soup for the Child’s Soul, Chicken Soup for the Girl’s Soul, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Just for Teenagers, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Kids, and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Preteens. Kathleen Phillips Poulsen is a reading and learning specialist who has taught every grade from kindergarten through community college. She is the writer/illustrator of the picture book Apple Doll.
