Maria Beaumont debuted in 2004 with the best-seller, Marsha Mellow & Me. Two more novels, MissFit and Motherland, soon followed and she also wrote Rubbish Boyfriends under the pseudonym Jessie Jones. “Lockdown was made bearable by being able to finish this,” she said of her new novel, The Art of Staying Married. “I didn’t have a dedication page in the book, so I’d like to take this opportunity to thank every member of every dysfunctional family I know for the inspiration,” she laughed. She is currently working on her new novel, The Art of Not Getting Married in the First Place. Her husband, Matt Beaumont, also a writer, said, "I wish her luck, but she's starting to get on my nerves."
