Lisa Russell Stone was born and raised in Southern Illinois. She received her Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems in 1997 from Southern Illinois University, and returned later to receive her MBA. Although she has worked most of her life in the business field, she has always had a passion for writing. She released "The Farm Puppy" in 2007 about Sam, a border collie. The follow up, "Sam Is Angry" was released in 2014. She lives with husband, Ken, in Southern Illinois and enjoys spending time with her family, attending SIU football games, and all kinds of arts and crafts.
