Leslie J. Cuneo was born in Manhasset, New York. He is a Long Islander at heart, having lived and worked there his entire life. Cuneo's books draw from his vast life experiences, whether it was sailing in the ocean off of the coast of Maine as a child, horseback riding in the Canadian Rockies, or whitewater rafting around the globe. His stories are inspired by people he has met or things he has done. As diversified as Cuneo's adventures have been, so have his business endeavors. A few of his favorites were being a bartender, taxi cab driver, commercial diver, working in finance, and, of course, his latest journey, that of author and publisher.
