Karin Risko, a former history teacher, is the owner of City Tour Detroit. Always fascinated by learning how local people and events shaped national and international history, Karin channeled this fascination into penning the book "Michigan Civil War Landmarks" along with co-author David Ingall. Karin loves showing off the rich history of Detroit. Through City Tour Detroit, she offers general sightseeing tours and unique themed tours such as the Incredible Journey to Midnight: Detroit Underground Railroad Lantern Tour, Notorious 313: True Crime and Ghost Tours, and Solid Gold Detroit: Soundtrack to the City. She also offers periodic Civil War history tours to complement the historic sites, significant people and events included in Michigan Civil War Landmarks.
