John was born in the desert wastelands outside of El Paso, Texas.
John was relocated at an early age to a sea town on the frigid coast of New England.
John spent 4 years serving in the United States Marine Corps and is an honorably discharged Sargent of Marines.
John has traveled extensively throughout the world.
John now lives and works on his small ranch in Cloutierville, Louisiana.
John is a Fine Art Artist, painting on canvas, linen, jute, and hemp, using rare earth pigments and artist grade oils. John has won awards for his work in international juried fine art competitions. John is represented by Jokie's Gallery located in historic downtown Natchitoches, Louisiana, at 126 Rue de St. Denis. Natchitoches is also the home of the movie Steele Magnolias and the world famous Christmas Festival of Lights.
John rescues animals at his ranch, and many become subjects of his paintings.
Along with his efforts in Fine Art, John writes fiction stories including the novel, Rene' Bernard.
All art for the novel Rene' Bernard was produced by John and have just received an award for portraiture excellence in an international juried competition.
All the recipes found in the book are John's personal recipes and I hope you will try and enjoy them.
