Jimmy Gillentine grew up with a fondness for horror, science fiction and fantasy flavored with the southern tang of his native Memphis. His debut novella, Of Blood and the Moon, was first published in 2009 and was a finalist for the Darrell Award. Other publications include a short story titled “Fifteen-Minute Break” in the annual anthology Cover of Darkness and a novella titled “A Night at Death’s Door,” as well as an essay in Where the Shadow Sees the Sun. His novel The Beast Within begins the bittersweet story of Andrew and Angela, which continued in Crossroads, published by Inkstained Succubus Press. With the demise of Inkstained Succubus, the series will be collected and finished with an omnibus release from Pro Se Publishing in 2018. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English literature, philosophy, and creative writing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Jimmy is a member of the Literary Underworld, Imagicopter and the Eville Writers, and is married to author Elizabeth Donald. If you want to get on his good side, bring him a bag of popcorn at the Literary Underworld booth; he’s not known as the Popcorn Monster for nothing!
