Jeffrey Overstreet, author of the novel "Auralia's Colors" and the film-criticism memoir "Through a Screen Darkly," teaches creative writing, academic writing, film studies, and literature courses at Seattle Pacific University. The Auralia Thread, Overstreet's fantasy series published by WaterBrook Multnomah (Random House) comprises (in this order) "Auralia's Colors," "Cyndere's Midnight," "Raven's Ladder," and "The Ale Boy's Feast." He writes about movies, music, faith, and culture at LookingCloser.org. Overstreet served as Senior Film Critic at Christianity Today, and the literary arts journal Image (ImageJournal.org) has published more than 100 of his essays on cinema. He has been published in many magazines, journals, and websites, including Paste, Books & Culture, Relevant, Comment, and more. He travels internationally to speak about film, writing, and faith. He lives in Shoreline, Washington, and celebrates 25 years of marriage with the poet Anne M. Doe Overstreet ("Delicate Machinery Suspended") in 2021.
