Short bio: Author, speaker, child of God
Medium bio: Jim loves God, his family, writing and speaking, and Chinese food--in that order.
Longer bio: Jim is an award-winning author of 20+ traditionally-published books and over 3,000 articles, and has spoken at conferences throughout the United States and overseas.
Coma-inducting bio: Jim has also served as an editor/writer for the American Bible Society, adjunct professor at Taylor University teaching writing for 15 years, a “visiting author” at Indiana Wesleyan University, guest lecturer at Liberty, Regent and other colleges and universities, full-time editorial director at Wesleyan Publishing House, and weekly columnist for three secular newspapers for fifteen years—but not all at the same time.
He's husband to the Rev. Lois Farra Watkins, dad to Faith and Paul, and papaw/grandpa to eight wonderful grands.
He lives in Corn Borer, Indiana, the pollen capital of the Midwest, only because his family lives nearby.
Most of all, he tries to provide encouragement and entertainment with his writing and speaking.
