Welcome to my author page. I am Harry Hoover, a self-improvement author, writer-for-hire, and speaker. I've been a radio and newspaper journalist, covering cops and courts, a daily call-in talk show host, served as a columnist and managing editor, as well as a color commentator for UNCC basketball. Most recently, I owned an ad agency, which I sold to my business partner in 2015 so I could devote more time to writing. ********************* Self-Improvement Books ********************* Although my first book is called Moving To Charlotte: The Un-Tourist Guide, I consider it a self-improvement book, too. Our town offers great jobs, superb outdoor recreational opportunities, varied housing options, as well as interesting urban and suburban neighborhoods. A move here is a step toward self-improvement.
