Erika S. Olson (Chicago, IL) is a freelance writer, film critic, and blogger, and was a managing director at the Chicago Board of Trade during the 2007 bidding war between CME and ICE. Olson worked in and consulted to the financial services industry for over ten years. She considers herself somewhat of an expert on mergers, as she has been through five of them. Olson earned her BBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and her MBA from Harvard Business School.
