Dennis Wagner was born and lived most of his life in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was adopted at an early age into a blue collar working family. He attended parochial schools for his elementary and senior high schooling. He and his wife, Christine, were married in 1967 and have two grown children, Michael and Denise, and were also blessed with two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Jillian. Dennis served in the United States Army during the years 1969 and 1970, and was stationed in West Germany, where he and Christine lived for 18 months. Their son, Michael, was born in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1969. Following separation from the Army in 1970, Dennis enrolled in computer programming courses and worked for various companies in both technical and managerial positions. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, attending in the evenings under the GI Bill. He wrote his first book, The Grampa Chair, for his granddaughters’ Christmas in 2005. Dennis and Christine currently live in Omaha.
