Dennis N. Del Prince is now enjoying his third career. He has been a Paleontologist for decades and concurrently served in the paper industry. Retiring in his mid-fifties, he then attempted to keep a promise he made to himself to read fiction books. However, he had not done so since his school years, and found it difficult to enjoy a tale that was hundreds of pages long. In today's busy world, it was hard to devote several hours at a sitting to enjoy a novel. Yet, he did not like reading a story in several sittings. Also, he preferred a less extensive amount of character development in a story, leaving more to the reader's imagination. He eventually overcame this handicap by reading classic stories, which often told their tales at a more rapid pace. In addition, he began to read novellas. Popularized in sixteenth century Italy, these tales were longer than short stories but brief compared to the modern novel. Then in 2012, Dennis began writing his own novellas, and after being repeatedly advised to publish the more than one hundred he had written in a year, he decided to begin offering his tales in 2015. More than twenty novella books have been published, each with three to five stories, for a total of more than seventy stories. They are not in a single venue, but are diverse offerings. After receiving requests for full sized books be published that offer stories sorted by genre, the author has responded by offering the One Tale at a Time series. Each book has offerings that are in a single genre, such as adventure, historical, science fiction, fantasy, drama and even light hearted fare. Dennis' hope is that you will find a number of his adult fiction tales interesting and entertaining. There are many more to follow.
