Dave Donelson is an award-winning writer and artist with some three million words in print. His career has taken him from the jungles of Australia's Cape York Peninsula to the minarets of Riyadh. He's climbed the spire of the Empire State Building, floated the Usumacinta River to the Mayan ruins at Piedras Negras in Guatemala, and photographed the tree-climbing lions and mountain gorillas of Uganda. His work appears regularly in over three dozen national publications. Dave's most recent project is Points In Time, a collection of poems and sketches from 2019-2023, where he reflects on life during a period that included the COVID pandemic, 2020 US Presidential election, and death and destruction in Ukraine, Israel, and Gaza. In 2023, he received recognition from the NYS Council on the Arts for Visions of a Certain Age, a collection of graphic poetry that chronicles the highs and lows of growing older in today’s America.
