D.B. Clifton is a native Kentuckian, a Postal Service retiree, and a veteran of the Vietnam War. A lifelong reader and dabbler in writing, he finally got serious about the craft a few years ago. In that time, he has produced two novels--as yet unpublished--and has had publishing success with a number of short works of fiction. His short story, 'Angel of the Wal-Mart Big-and-Tall', appeared in the anthology 'NOT FROM AROUND HERE, ARE YOU?' published by The Cincinnati Writers Group, a literary review. And his stories, 'The Last Watcher', 'The Night Of The Spear', 'The Lady And The Shield', and 'The Shield And The Shadow' are currently available from Mind Wings Audio--an online audio publisher--and are also listed on the web sites of Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, and several other online sources. Together, those four stories form a complete, serialized novel. While continuing to produce numerous pieces of short fiction and poetry as the muse directs, he still pursues that illusive first published stand-alone novel. After all, hope, as well as a ready supply of words, is eternal.
