I was the child with the vivid imagination who liked to invent characters and make up stories. Later in life, I'd use those skills to write murder mysteries. I grew up in an Italian law enforcement family, so it seemed inevitable that my stories would involve detectives. The characters I create come from all walks of life and like most of us, they all have issues. Solving the puzzle is only one aspect of the story, the other is being captured by the complexities of the characters to evoke a connection and emotional response. Rich or poor, humorous or sinister; my characters offer readers an opportunity to view the story from a variety of perspectives. In addition to my love of writing, my interests include gourmet cooking, music and film noir.
