I was was born in Baltimore, Maryland, known as the land of pleasant living, home to the Orioles, and where one can get the best crab cakes in the world. I currently live in Massachusetts where I enjoy hiking, golfing, and spending time with family, friends, and our dog, Rosie. I earned a BS from Bates College, an MS from The Pennsylvania State University and a PhD from The Johns Hopkins University, all in various biological disciplines. At different times, I’ve been an athlete, a teacher, a scientist and finally, a writer. This last role is one I’ve dreamed of my entire life. My first two books, “Scars and Stripes Forever” and “The Scions of Atlantis,” are suspense novels with a political/historical flavor, but for something completely different, I’m currently working on a memoir.
