Chuck Heath, Jr. was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, but has resided in Alaska since the age of two. He spent his early years hunting, fishing, and trapping around the state, as well as staying very active in sports and church activities. He graduated from the University of Idaho, where he was a member of the Vandal's football team, with a Bachelor of Science degree. He returned to Alaska and began a long teaching career which afforded him time in the summers to gold mine and write.
"Our Sarah: Made in Alaska", chronicles the rise of his little sister, Sarah Palin. It's a family and friends perspective with many stories that have never been heard before, including behind-the-door looks at Sarah's governorship and the 2008 presidential campaign. The book is co-authored by his father, Chuck Heath, Sr.
Chuck is currently teaching school and writing a second book which will be packed full of his family's hunting, mining, and fishing adventures. He currently lives in Anchorage with his wife Abby, and his three children, Kier, Teko, and Sophia.
