International best- selling and award-winning author Chellie Phillips has over 25 years of corporate experience in the fields of public relations, marketing, and communications. Currently she's the Vice President of Communications and Public Relations for Coweta Fayette EMC. Before that, she was a features editor at a daily newspaper and even dabbled in radio news. She’s an author, speaker, motivator and a “kick-in-the-pants.” Her first book, When In Doubt, Delete It! was published in January 2019 and received the Author Academy Award for the Self- Help category in October 2019. Her second book, Get Noticed, Get Hired followed in 2021 becoming a #1 best seller in several categories. Her latest book, Culture Secrets is packed with information business leaders can use to increase employee engagement and build strong human-centered cultures in the workplace. Phillips brings together thought leaders like WD-40 Company CEO Gerry Ridge, Panasonic Global Automotive CHRO Stephen Childs, Menlo Innovations co-founder Richard Sheridan and more to share the secrets you need to grow thriving successful businesses in an environment employee love showing up for. She lives in Moreland, GA and is actively involved in the community serving on the boards of Newnan Coweta Chamber of Commerce, Elevate Coweta Students and the Coweta Community Foundation. Her speaking engagements include several national and state organizations: The National Rural Electric Association of Cooperatives (NRECA)- Annual Meeting and Connect Conference, the Indiana Association of Electric Cooperatives, the Cooperative Communications Association (CCA), Co-opportunity Youth Leadership Conference, and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She advocates for other communicators by serving on the board of the NRECA Council of Rural Electric Communicators and Cooperative Communicators Association. She's been a guest on numerous podcast and recently started her own, named after the book, Culture Secrets. Her work has been recognized by the Spotlight on Excellence Program, the Cooperative Communicators Association, the Alabama Public Relations Society, and the Alabama Rural Electric Association. She received the prestigious Outstanding Alumnus Award from the Troy University Journalism and Print Department in 2000 and the LaBerge Award for Strategic Communications from the National Rural Electric Association of Cooperative in 2022.
