Author Beverly S. Holland was one of the Finalists in the Author Shows... "50 Great Authors You Should be Reading" contest in 2012...
I have always loved to read and write, mostly for myself and for my children when they were young, but I started writing "My Love Affair with God" when my children were teenagers and young adults, because I could see how the world was pulling at them and how college was changing them. I feel compelled to counteract the anti-Christian attitude and bias political correctness that some of the major news media, special interest groups, Hollywood, TV, and even some colleges are pushing on the American public today. For example...
My book was finished, but just sitting in my computer until... I saw a talk show host actually YELL over two Christians who were talking ... "IT'S JUST A RELIGION! GO TO COMMERCIAL! I was so upset by her blatant anti-Christian attitude and rudeness that I went directly to my computer... looked up a publisher... attached my manuscript... and emailed it that day! That was in October and December 7th they called and asked to publish my book!
My book... "My Love Affair with God"... is dedicated to showing people how to prove for themselves that God is NOT just a religion, but He is alive and full of power and how they can prove for themselves that His superabundant power and protection will work for them, so they will never doubt Him again. Nobody would doubt there is a God if they would just take the time to get acquainted with Him.
"My Love Affair with God" is for people of all ages... men like it as well as women, teens, and preteens. Whether the readers are questioning God's existence, a new believer, or have been a Christian all their life, this book will help them draw closer to God and really know Him through their spirit and strengthen their relationship with Him.
Beverly Holland took Bible courses with RHEMA Bible College for many years and has also been involved with other ministries. She has taught and been involved with Sunday School, Junior Church, Broken Promises, Vacation Bible School, Teen advisor, Chaperone, Bible studies, and much more. Beverly is the mother of three grown children and two grandchildren. She has lived in central Ohio most of her life and now resides in Baltimore, Ohio.

I have just finished reading My Love Affair with God and wanted you to know how your words have inspired me. The title is most reveling. You use "with God" not "of God". It is the first time I have felt that God, the Father, loves me as a son. I need His guidance and He wants my success.

I met you while you were having a book signing and I took one of your cards. When I showed my husband the business card, with the picture of your book on it, he told me that was the book they had been talking about at the church meeting the night before and they said it was one of the best books they had ever read. We immediately went back to the store and you were still there so I bought a signed copy. My husband and I both read your book and we agree it is one of the best books we've read!
