Ben Walters is a writer and researcher based in London engaged with queer, cabaret, DIY and moving-image cultures. He blogs at http://www.nottelevision.com. His doctoral research with performance collective Duckie is available in the ebook “Dr Duckie: Homemade Mutant Hope Machines – The Phd” with more resources at http://www.duckie.co.uk/drduckie Ben was cabaret editor for Time Out London from 2009-2013 and has reviewed cabaret at the Edinburgh Fringe for the Scotsman since 2014. As a film and television critic, Ben has regularly contributed to Sight & Sound and The Guardian for more than 15 years. He is the author of a short biography of Orson Welles and the BFI TV Classic book about The Office. With J.M. Tyree, he co-authored the BFI Film Classic book about The Big Lebowski. He is also a programmer, producer and filmmaker.
