Carolyn L. Rosenblatt, Registered Nurse, Attorney and Consultant, has 45 years of combined experience in her two professions. Together with her husband, Dr. Mikol Davis, a psychologist, she is the founder of AgingParents.com a resource for those who are caring for aging loved ones. She is also the co-founder of AgingInvestor.com, providing education about financial decision-making and diminished capacity for financial and business professionals. She is a consultant to individuals and families struggling with aging-related issues, and is a mediator for families in conflict.
She has a 94 year old mother in law, Alice, who is still independent and who illustrates many of the issues other Boomers face in helping aging loved ones who really don't want help! She and Dr. Davis are in frequent contact with Alice and they offer her the same kinds of advice Ms. Rosenblatt offers her readers: practical, easy to understand explanations about what to do when a problem comes up in her life with her finances, her medical care and her legal questions.
Ms. Rosenblatt worked her way through law school while nursing. She brings a unique perspective to her writing from personal care and attention to thousands of patients as well as hundreds of clients whom she represented as their legal advocate. She practiced law while raising her two children, now adults. She and Dr. Davis have been happily married for 32 years. She is a passionate advocate for quality of life of elders and has a strong message about how you can protect your loved ones against financial elder abuse. She pursues a lifestyle of health and fitness, participating in the sport of triathlon, which she started in her 60s.
Her commitment to elders arose from her wonderful relationship with her grandmother, whom she adored and who inspired her to become a nurse. The book is dedicated to her grandmother.
