I'm a long time freelance writer with a strong specialty in arts, culture, travel, and the ways they intersect. As a blogger and music writer, I receive new material to review and concerts to go to on a daily basis, and I'm only sad there's never enough time for it all. My writing on arts and culture, including posts from my blog ArtandCultureMaven.com, and published pieces in Huffington Post, among others, have been cited and appear in the bibliography of several academic publications and books, including a paper published in 'AnthroSource,' Published by the American Anthropological Association (February 2018), and books such as 'Global Africa: Into the Twenty-First Century' (Dorothy Hodgson, ‎Judith Byfield - Univ of California Press, Aug 1, 2017). In addition to writing, I teach creative writing at the college level, and I'm also a singer with local bands in a variety of genres.
