Anthony Venn-Brown (OAM) was a leader in the Assemblies of God and a popular preacher in Australia's growing mega-churches such as Hillsong. In 1991, he resigned from the ministry and came out. His bestselling autobiography 'A Life of Unlearning' was first released in 2004 and enabled 1,000's of gay and lesbian people from Christian backgrounds to find resolution of the perceived conflict between their faith and sexuality. 'A Life of Unlearning- a preacher's struggle with his homosexuality, church and faith' is now in it's 3rd edition. Through his media work, blogs, social networking and behind-the-scenes dialogues with Christian leaders, Anthony has become an ambassador for the LGBTQ community. His work has contributed to the decline in ex-gay/reparative/conversion programs in Australia. Anthony has also raised awareness about the specific needs of the emerging group within the LGBT community; people of faith. Anthony is the founder and CEO of Ambassadors and Bridge Builders International (ABBI).
