There were times I was yelling at one or the other MCs. They occasionally needed a slap upside the head. With that said, I did enjoy most of the story and narration. Their magical bond was awesome in the best of ways and troublesome in other ways.

As for mature content, get ready for a 🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥

I liked this book as it was not the typical royal romance. The coupling of a royal with a mage was refreshing and better than the overused plots with maids and bodyguards. The characters had interesting personalities and I liked their dynamic. Note that the book is focused almost solely on the romance part, so if you expect plot twists and politics you may be left disappointed.
The narrator was good, too.

I disagree with the lower rating of this book. it was 100% worth the listen. especially since it's now in the plus catalog... maybe because it was a fantasy/royal book, people assumed there would be war and monsters? idk. the book is about an unwilling queen and her mage. I won't spoil the details. personally, i think people should ignore the 4 star rating and give it a chance.
