I often hesitate getting into series that have multiple books but this one is well worth the listening time and $/credit. B Sands has done a simply amazing job with the voices of the 5 Alphas, not to mention all the others in the story. M York was a delight to listen to as well. she portrayed a defiant Omega very well.
What I liked best about this book and the one prior, it is an actual story. Not just spicy RH omega/alpha. The story is captivating and pulls you in to finish the series (1 more with this pack, then I think 2 with another pact, fighting for the same cause I believe).

I felt like the first book was made rushed but this one was AMAZING. I couldn’t put it down. I LOVE WRAITH, he is my favorite by far. Don’t know where the others stand in the rank but I can say without a doubt that Valek is at the absolute bottom. I’m obviously going to finish this series and hopefully he can gain even just a little redemption in my eyes, but I feel like he’s such an awful, albeit necessary aspect of the story. I can see why Ivy likes the other 4, but I have yet to find any redeeming qualities in him. The fact that she’s slept with him makes my blood boil but I will put my hatred aside for the plot. Out of all the characters, I want to see Wraith come out with a happy ending the most. While I understand the motivation behind Valek’s psyche, I still think he’s a massive douche unworthy of being apart of the group

I’m loving this story. It’s a story of finding love even in the worst places, circumstances, and unlike people. Also fighting against an oppressive system and government.

Definitely outside my typical reads, but I’m certainly enjoying this ride !!! Narration is very very good. Off to the next one !!

Even more action than the first one, this is giving me everything I didn’t realize was missing in my life. The only “critique” I have is that I would have liked a little more world building, really in the first book because at some point in this book- I think during movie night- is when I realized that this is a post apocalyptic world. The entire time I was seeing it in a modern world just alternate universe.

The story from the beginning has been captivating and I can’t stop listening. At no point am I expecting any of the twists and turns and my mouth has been perpetually open. I keep saying that ABO books are my guilty pleasure but there’s zero guilt here. This is so well written, full of suspense and action, and is much more of an, “oh no some smut got in my plot” read than most of the genre. I am super excited to get on to the next one and see how the packs relationships continue to develop especially with Valek because ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
