I went into this book not knowing what to expect but I loved it all. The story was thrilling, the lewd was captivating and it left me wanting the next installment! I love it through and through.

I read this back on SH when it first came out and got it again on kindle. I triple-dipped for the audio and have no regrets. Fun story!

The story is great, and I enjoyed it very much... But it really should've been narrated by a guy. No offense to the narrator, she does a great job on other books, but having a woman narrate an alpha male character is just weird. It kinda cringy actually, because there's times when she narrates with 'guy's' voice then the next moment it too high pitched and makes it difficult to determine if the MC is actually a guy or a woman in disguise.

Honestly, with descriptions of "alpha male" about this book, I had low expectations. But there was something interesting in this book. Maybe it was the world or setting. It's hard for me to place, but something had me listening till the end.

but that's the good.
It's strange to see the author say one thing just to have the MC hypocritically go against it in the next sentence. the MC preaches that he isn't a tyrant, but every chance he gets, he takes away basic freedom as king.
The narrator tries her best. The female voices are distinct and very well done. The male voices are all quite awkward and same-sounding.

I'd say check it out if you're willing to take a chance

Need a story that doesn’t take itself too seriously and will provide you some quality entertainment? Probably should check this one out.

Fun story, fun characters, brought together by an excellent narrator in Kline. Definitely not skim milk, 100% whole milk!

Definitely a story you just sit back and relax with. It's just a fun ride with hot girls and great action. Sierra Kline is a god-tier narrator and elevates this story into the stratosphere.

I have listened to and have read a lot of male fantasy so I have been around the block with multiple types from Scifi to Fantasy, from Current World to Alternative Worlds, the main protagonist has no powers to them being OP, etc... I have to say though this one was pretty bad for my taste. For it being a Slice of Life style it really didn't feel like that in multiple instances, since Slice of Life is supposed to be more of a real-life simulation of a mundane life however, this feels more like eroticism where it's nothing but sexy times all around. The male protagonist feels more like a meathead thinking of nothing else besides sex and breeding. Even the so-called mundane tasks he completes seem to be tinged with sexual tension. So I found that I was less excited about the whole experience after only a couple of chapters from when I first read the synopsis. So I find myself putting this book down and shoving it in a corner to forget.

TLDR: It's not a Slice of Life Harem and more of a story about a man constantly stuck in the thought process of sex and breeding.
