This is my first fantasy book and I LOVED it probably only because Leigh Rivers wrote it! Lol I seriously love every book she writes! My top favs have been Little Stranger/Little Liar & of course the Edge of Darkness trilogy. Def will be displaying the physical copies of these on my shelf as trophies 🤣

I like that the story starts out fast and the world building is worked into gradually. But that cliffhanger ending, when will we get the next book??

The storyline was good and spicy, but confusing at times. Things are eluded to that really make no sense when it’s happening, I assume we’ll figure it out as the story goes on.

MK Blackwood did an amazing job. Generally, I listen to duet narrated books, but I really didn’t even miss the male narrator. She was just that good.

I loved everything about this book, however dual narration would have been amazing! the Narrator did an amazing job portraying each character, i do wish the second book was out or had a time line. Lots of ups and downs, twists and turns.

I don't normally do fantasy but if Leigh Rivers writes it, I’m going to read it without a doubt. This was sooo good, even for a slowburn…that cliffhanger tho!!! I need book 2 like yesterday. 😤

Holy Edging!
Talk about angst and a deliciously slow build up. Leigh Rivers is the Queen of true enemies to lovers and passionate bully romances.
Satanic Shadows follows Seraphine after she is kidnapped and thrown into a mysterious and magical realm. She doesn’t know why she is there but easily assimilates to her new “normal” while attempting to fend off the infamous and clearly powerful Dane. Dane, who is THE perfect brooding, secretive and overprotective MMC. This story is battle of wills and heightened temptation which will leave you panting for more with each turn of the page.
Leigh drops little hidden eggs throughout the story which you will assume gives you a small inclination of which way the story will be turning. Just when you think you can visualize how all of the puzzle pieces fit together she goes and leaves you with an EPIC cliffhanger that has you cursing her name (respectfully and adoringly, of course).
With that said, I can’t wait to see where Dane and Seraphine’s story takes us and to hopefully get some much needed answers in book 2.
