I liked this story a lot. It has a lot of yummy Highlanders and strong women. This book is the first in a trilogy. Its about three brothers who's hearts were harden by loss. So we know what will happen they will find the women that will allow them to find love and what it really means. That is every romance. But what a true romance fan loves is how the characters get there. The author did a great job in telling the older brother's story. The narrator made it every entertaining.

It can be graphic so if that is not what you are into then don't read or listen to Maya Banks books. I think she is a good story teller with a lot spicy.

There are some fight scenes and highlander politics which I thought gave the book more depth.

I hope audible will record the other books. I would like to know what will happen next.

"In Bed With a Highlander" by Maya Banks was a good historical fiction and interesting romance read. This was the beginning of a new highlander series by this author. Only Ms. Banks can write these kind of novels that simply keep us on the edge of our seats. All the characters were well presented and developed. For Mairin (heroine) and Ewan (Laird) ...hero... were just off the chart good. Let me not forget the two McCabe brothers(Alaric and Caelen) and (Ewan son)....Crispen.


The novel was very enjoyable with enough tension and humor that simply couldn't put the novel down until I had finished it. Only Ms. Banks can present such erotica...sex scenes that you just call romance that will keep your attention. Be prepared for a lots of action packed, steamy and even a suspenseful read. I was kept guessing just what was going to happen next. This is where I say you must pick up the well written novel and see what is in store for this highlander.


If you are looking for a good fantastic Scottish highlander romantic novel...you have come to the right place...for "In Bed With a Highlander" I would recommend this novel as a excellent read.

Way Way up there.Love this genre and I love Scottish History. Like chocolate and peanut butter, they go great together.

What was one of the most memorable moments of In Bed with a Highlander?

Hilarious Moment;
Marian is shot by an arrow, she is given whiskey to numb her, while she feels no pain, she begins to tell to Caven's brother about their wedding night.

Touching Moment;
Marian is taken away from Caven when a long time enemy claims she is HIS wife. Cavan vows to get her back as he is being dragged away.

What about Kirsten Potter’s performance did you like?

I love her narration, she has beautiful tone.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Highland Heat!

If you are a historical fiction junkie like me, then you probably have a favorite. like Julie Garwood or Jude Deveruex. You should try Maya Banks. I love highland books. This has laughter, joy, tears and everything you love.

Worth your credit and worth your time!

The narrator was incredible with the accents and intonation! I enjoyed the way action set off the romance, though I would have likes the heroine to be just a smidge stronger. Still enjoyed overall. Recommended.

Take a romantic trip to the Scottish Highlands

The first of a trilogy, hooks you for the rest of the brothers stories. This book not only had the usual love story, but sets up the characters for the remaining books. You get interested in the McCabe brothers and admire their loyalty to each other and family. They do what is good for the clan, even at a personal sacrifice. It has a nice bit of action, politics, scheming, and deception going on, providing a nice background for things to come. The main plot of the story is the romance though, but the title tells us that.

It is sexy, funny, and the men are tough and big:)!!! I love that the men protects their women and fight till death for them.:)

Only in this series but I look forward to anything she performs. She is exceptional.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I enjoyed Marion and her quest to please her man. This is an excellent start to the series.
