homegirl almost sounds like siri, which makes some of the dirty scenes really funny. the guy's voice definitely made me feel things, though. overall, it's just a fun fantasy to live out. i wouldn't suggest taking it too seriously, honestly. it's more fun to let yourself laugh at it. if you're not able to do that, you might not enjoy it. it does have good descriptions throughout, and it's not the worst plotline if you don't mind Rae being your typical main character that just plunges herself into dangerous situations for ridiculous reasons. overall not too bad.

I've waited way too long to start this series and I'm in my monster lover phase so it was the perfect time!

First of all, if there were a million books to the Laroux catalogue, I'd be devastated I couldn't finish them. I've only read a couple, so far, and I have loved every single one. The banter between Leon and Rae was pretty great. I was face palming some of Rae's actions but that's okay because she did to, so I forgave her.

I like that this story wasn't heavy with the smut, and even though the plot was heavy, it was not overwhelming. It wasn't lore bogged and I got sucked right in. I'm extremely curious for Zane and Juni's book!

Highly recommended! Took a minute to adjust to some of the quirks of the readers. But once into it, I was hooked. The story is nicely laid out. Occasionally a little predictable, but overall well crafted. The steamy scenes make a girl jealous!

Okay so, the female narrator is really nasally and each word is oddly emphasized. I think it’s a voice she does because her voice for characters are mostly normal. The narrators don’t perform together- if it is the MWC (main woman’s character) Rae’s chapter she will do ALL of the characters in that chapter including the MMC (main man character) Leon. If Leon is reading the chapter he does ALL of the voices for it including the MWC Rae. This is smut, so at least for me it’s off putting to get used to one narrators voices for the characters and then switch to the next. Also I can’t help but giggle at the male narrators voice for the female characters, especially during the spicy scenes. The story is good so if you can just buy the book and read it instead of listening.

The smut is good- The narrators don’t perform together.

I absolutely loved this book!!! Leon's and Rae's voices are amazing and the story is enthralling!!!

So when I read books in this genre, I look for 1. Plot 2. Romance and 3. Spice. I need all three categories to really get into a book, and Her Soul to Take did not disappoint!! The plot was awesome and well flushed out, the voice acting was on point and the spice was extra spicy! One of the other reviews suggested reading this in October, and I would have to agree that this book has big autumn vibes.

I love this series! I read this book first but had to listen to it since it’s one of my favorites. Hearing the humor and emotion from the readers really brings it to life!
