Marriage must have for all marriages!

My husband and I have any amazing marriage and always have. I picked this book up because several off my friends have struggling marriages and wanted to find resources to help them out. When I brought this book home, my husband was immediately intrigued. We decided to listen to it together and it was a great decisions. No matter how you feel like you marriage is going or how long you have been together, this book has something for you.

Interesting, some good points, but no fruition

Started out well but never really got to the point. I was hoping for more content and ways to improve. There were some good examples of what not to do but story consisted mainly of stories of others experience. Not the quantum leap I had hoped for

Good book to things to spice things up

I really appreciate Dr Leman and his books and videos. I feel he stereo types men and woman a little too much in the bedroom. Don't feel his 99% of the time comment is correct. For sure over 50%.

And some of the ways she suggest woman talk to their husband to get stuff done would offend me. I am not 12.

Overall its a good book.

It’s good but...

I liked mostly everything. Quite open minded. But in the same time was a bit disappointed that author are totally against anal sex at all cost or that some couples could like and even have anal orgasms or play and experiment with stimulating those many thousand nerve-endings in that area with fingers or different toys or by rimming with tongue etc.

Outdated

If you are basing your relationship on old gender stereotypes, this book might work for you. Author basically believes that men are sex crazed cavemen who "communicate through grunts" while women are not interested in sex, only in "cuddling", and are chatterboxes. He also recommends to stay in your marriage after an affair, rather than divorce. A massive red flag, I'd say. Also states that if you don't have sex with your partner enough, you put yourself at risk of being cheated on. I can see why this was said, but there is never an excuse for cheating, and it kind of sounded like he was hinting at blaming the victim in these situations. Also suggested that if your husband has a lower sex drive than you, he's probably homosexual...Just a lot of weird claims being made to be honest. But if you can get past the general weirdness, there are a lot of great tips on communication, and some cute things to do for your partner scattered throughout the book. This book was not written for everyone, but I think everyone could at least get something out of it.

So Negative

This book starts out as if the person who downloaded has a terrible sex life - if you do and you like to start books on a negative tone then this is the book for you - if your sex life is good and you are just looking to learn something in a positive tone, dont waste your credit.

Mistitled, pedantic, condescending

Let me summarize this book for you so you won't waste your time. If you are a husband not getting enough sex, IT IS ALL YOUR FAULT. You are an insensitive, uncaring SOB who doesn't deserve her. Your only salvation is to basically start anticipating, and catering to, her every need. She bears no responsibility. Forget about the fact that you bust your butt supporting her. According to the author, that is what God intended.

This is BS and I can't believe this quack has counseled "thousands of couples," although I am not surprised given my experience with couples counselors.
