During so many parts of this book, I was nodding my head in agreement. Dr. Leman sure knows what he's talking about!!! I'm glad that I listened when my son is only 6 years old. This is already helping me and no doubt will continue to help and guide me as he grows!!! I've learned so much about myself and my husband as well. What an eye-opener!!! 👀

Great book!

Another great book by Kevin Leman. It was read well but hard to listen to because I have listened to Kevin talk several times and kept wanting to hear him say it.

A very honest and rich account of the relationship between a mother and son. So many important nuggets that I need to read-listen to it again and again.

Just the advice I needed

I found this book during a challenging time in my son’s 8 yr old life. Unfortunately he has had to deal with the divorce between his dad and I and the difficult changes the split has brought. Before reading this book, I felt so powerless in helping him and I was losing hope that his dad’s bad influence would prevail over mine. My son has been struggling with anger, frustration, control issues with me and some anxiety. After listening to all Dr. Leman’s advice and his personal story, I feel more encouraged and empowered on how to help my son grow into the kind I man I want him to become. The advice and direction this books gives mothers is priceless! I’m so glad I found it! I’m going to occasionally re listen to the audio version so I won’t forget all his points.

You mater

I haven't applied all that I have learned because coming from a broken home is not easy to just flip the switch and be wise, sweet and firm all at the same time...however, not only do I understand what it all means because I have been on the other side of the story and I've seen the fruits of it in people like my husband and my brother...this book is one of my favorites from Dr. Leman! I appreciate it very much because now I understand I matter and my boys have a greater chance at being human which is what really matters to me!
