Started out so good but became very ‘read’ in tone and content. I finished it but the last 8 chapters were slower and more boring than I liked

This book was great and very informative!
one of the most overall best book on audible I have listened to. Very encouraging makes me wont to work harder as a wife. Helped me understand the differences in my husband and myself. Highly recommend this book to any married couples.

I was very involved listening to this book until I was caught off guard with a comment the author says. He says mental illness is a choice and when speaking about a client of his to admitted herself in a mental institution, the author says she copped out, and caused her husband to have to pay $8,000. I was disgusted at this comment.

Also beware that author omits chapter 9 in this audio book and says if you want to know more about this chapter about anger, refer to a written copy of his book. Thank you a lot sir for suggesting I pay for this book twice.

I loved listening to this book. It had a lot of good information and great takeaways.

The beginning is wonderful!! The author is speaking to a live audience and is very transparent and full of humor and real life situations.

The rest of the book is just as valuable although it took me awhile to adjust to Dr. Leman's reading voice!!
I do prefer his animated/live voice however I do enjoy audio books read by the author! This book gets 5 stars!
