This was a very enticing book. I have all the elements of the making of a great saga. Hopefully the series continues. This series is worth the money.

Still going strong with book 2. The Mountain king saga really hits a dark home run. the writing is fantastic and the narration is amazing.

Voice acting is incredible I love the call backs to the first series. It is weird hearing the old characters in different voices but I like it. By the end of the book I absolutely love how it was wrapped up and didn’t fall to any tropes. I found myself cracking up when his lovers randomly stop and cook him for being ugly 😂 I love how the main character is self aware and actually uses his head to think things through and TALK things through when possible. Definitely ready and waiting (pause..) for book three of mountain king 🔥👌🙂‍↕️

I did enjoy the book overall, the performances were very very good, and I will undoubtedly listen to the next book when it comes out, but some aspects of it were.... not my favorite.

The death of Sif (I believe that's her name, hard to tell with only listening) was unnecessary, especially when she just gets replaced a few chapters later with, not only an equally powerful and rare mountain troll, but one that by description looks exactly like her. That is a death that has no real consequences other than making the Main Character, not only mad, but a lot less likeable.

It was good, but not perfect.

Amazing read and cross over to Terry’s story line. I love the darkness but also honest love in this series.

Here’s to hoping for a final book to complete this series to much of a cliff hanger to leave it unfinished.

He's done it again! I'm back on a rollercoaster ride that keeps on giving. I can't help but wonder whats gonna happen next because if the previous MC meets this MC and they fight. . . no contest I'd say but given some time. sheesh!

To the point: Outstanding Book. I read books 1 and 2. The narration was top notch. In a perfect world these narrators would re record all of Cebelius' books.

The Mountain King saga won't be for everyone. It's dark, gritty, horrific at times, and the MC isn't very likable. But it is a great tale depicting the rise of the new evil on Celestine.
