They say family is a circle of strength.

But when mine is ripped away from me at the hands of a monster, my strength is all that’s left.

I’ll give my last breath before they take anything else from me.

Even if I’m the one they wanted all along.

Find Silas Black.

Those were my father’s last words.

So I did.

Only, I found so much more than just a man who was prepared to help me get my revenge.

I found a tortured soul who in return gave me hope.

But I also found his broken sons.

One hates me.

One desires me.

And Silas wants to save me.

They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but If I keep getting caught up in the heat of the moment, I’ll be my own demise.

Four is a dark reverse harem romance that contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some listeners may find uncomfortable, such as dub con, murder, torture, and abuse. The Black family men are rough, controlling, and a little bit crazy, but don’t worry...she puts them in their place. Enjoy!

Four is a new book by Sara Cate and Rachel Leigh. This book is told from the point of view from Iris Pavetta. This book starts out with Iris's house under attack. Her father tells her to run and find a guy names Silas Black. Her father is then murdered in front of her.

She finds Silas and he agrees to let her stay as he owed her father a favor. Her stay there has a deadline. While she is there she meets his two sons Gabriel and Baron. She wants to get revenge on those who killed her father and on those whom are after her.

She has to convince Silas, Gabriel, and Baron to help her fight. She learns a lot of secrets and lies she was told from her father. This book had so many twists and turns until the last moment. As she is with the three guys she starts to have feelings for all three. Can she keep all three in the end, or will something happen to tear them apart?

I really enjoyed this book.

This is my first book by either author (I have seen them on the male/female romance scene and have some of their ebooks on my kindle) and I think this was their first RH and I thought they did a good job. I think he story was stronger than the narration, but I will get into that in a little bit.

In terms of the story, I liked the dynamic and tropes with the age gap, stepbrothers, first time moment (if you catch my drift haha) aspects so that was a nice change of pace (I don't see a lot of age gap with RH's). I enjoyed the way her relationship developed with Gabriel (a lot of their scenes made me giggle haha) and I enjoyed her developments with Silas (even though I don't think things were taken far enough for his personality, like they barely skimmed the surface). I think I was the most disconnected with Baron because he all of a sudden did a 180 and I get things changed but I thought once he was ok, things were too easy for him and Ms. Pavetta. I did enjoy the assassin portion of the story, all the action was fun and entertaining. I thought some of the torture scenes were tough to listen to hahaha (rule #1, don't listen to some of this while eating dinner hahah). I thought the heat level was good and not too much or rushed scenes. The epilogue also was adorable and hope we see more of them in the future. I did enjoy the story, but it didnt WOW me like some of my other recent listens have. Still would recommend but it is a standalone and I think some things felt rushed/were developed how I would have liked for a 1 book series.

In terms of the narration, I was not a fan of Allie's rendition about 30% of the time. She kept taking me out of the story when the MC was too emotional. She made her sound whiny and screechy when she should have just be louder or forceful. I did have to turn the volume down when these things happens because she was hurting my ears with the screeching. Allie did do a good job with the male narrators. She channeled them really well, her different voices/personalities clear and distinct. I would give Allie another shot (I would listen to one of her other audiobooks) but she would need to tone it down a bit or change how she does that portion of the performance.

This was a great story, but then the girl just kept screwing up, she was extremely immature, and i get, she’s 18, but it was a little much on the immaturity considering what she had been through. I was really loving it until she started to get with Baron and then it started to feel repetitive. It picked up on the good side towards the end though. The epilogue was very nice!

Great, until it got repetitive

All I can say is wow!! This story was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The heat between each character is off the charts and intense. Sara and Rachel hit this one out of the park!

Amazing, Hot and Sexy
