You shouldn't be here, little girl. Whatever you do, don't run. Because we'll chase you.

Luna: Making new friends, that's what traveling is all about, right? It's midnight, I'm running through the woods outside an enormous mansion. Men in masks are chasing me, and my new "friends" are nowhere to be found. I've been set up. And I have no way to get out of this.

Kai: This girl is easy prey, with her terrified blue eyes and that blonde hair streaming behind her as she runs. It's like offering a raw steak to a pack of rabid dogs. I'm going to catch her first, because in the Dark Games, it's Finders, Keepers. Even if she doesn't want to be kept.

This is a dark Scottish mafia romance, and it hooked me way faster than I expected. This was my first Ariana Fraser book, and now I’m fully committed to reading the entire McTavish Brothers series.

The story follows an FMC who’s backpacking her way through Europe, just trying to enjoy the adventure of a lifetime. Things take a sharp turn when she and a hostel friend get invited to what they think is a regular party… only to discover it’s a primal‑style event hosted by the rich and elite, where being “caught” means being “claimed.” She’s clearly been set up, and the danger feels real from the moment she steps inside.

That’s where the MMC comes in a Scottish mafia heir working undercover for his family. He spots her panic instantly and realizes she’s not a willing participant. Instead of letting her become prey, he steps in to protect her, and that choice pulls them both into a much bigger, darker web of family power, secrets, and survival. Circumstances force them into a marriage neither of them planned, but watching that reluctant partnership shift into something real is what makes the story so addictive.

🎧 Audiobook Experience
The Scottish accents are everything. The narrators bring the brothers, the danger, and the banter to life in a way that makes the whole world feel richer. And speaking of the brothers their dynamic is hilarious, chaotic, and one of the best parts of the book. They balance the darker moments with humor and heart.

⭐ Final Thoughts
A dark, twisty Scottish mafia romance with danger, chemistry, and a family you can’t help loving. The plot is engaging, the brothers are unforgettable, and the audiobook narration elevates the entire experience. I’m definitely going back to read book one and continuing the series.

I had enjoyed the book but it was great to actually hear it. The story is still great and entertaining. The narrators did a good job on portraying the characters. I wished it was a duet though but it was still enjoyable.

My favorite way to reread a book is by listening to the audio. A Scottish accent!? The audio instantly elevated the story for me just from the accents! Tom Red was fantastic in his performance. Each male voice sounded distinctly different to me. Duel performance. Zee Dara brought the sass out of Luna. I got to fall in love with Kai all over again! Cant wait for the rest of the MacTavish Heirs audiobooks!!

I fell hard for Kai- his first encounter with Luna is chasing her through the woods in a wolf mask!? Say less. He recreates that for their big wedding night!? Sold. Not to mention all the little things he does from day one to show how he cares for her! This man is perfect, in the way only morally grey mafia men can be. Luna is a fun spitfire too. She isn’t afraid to stand her ground in whatever situation she gets herself into and her reaction to Kai’s money is hilarious. This is the first Scottish mafia book I’ve read and I need more in life. This is book 2 in the MacTavish Heirs series. I have not read book 1 and never felt lost or like I missed anything from book 1. I will be going back to read about the senior members of the clan because I loved the dynamics of this book so much!.

Kai is swoon worthy
