Publisher's summary

Seasons ago, I resonated to the quietest of tribesmates, a male content to love me from afar while I was the center of attention. We could have been happy. Despite our differences, I loved him, and he loved me.

But then a terrible thing happened...and my world was never the same again.

Now, resonance is giving us a second chance, but...I'm afraid. What if what I have with my mate is too broken to be fixed? What if there's no hope left for us at all?

Contains mature themes.

Pretty good story

Barbarian's Hope was about a Sakhui couple, Hemalo and Asha, who lost their kit. The story was different since they were both originally from the ice planet. Asha was a piece of work in that she was nasty to her mate. The book was not as good as some of the others but still pretty good. As usual, the narrators were great.

I adore this couples story.

I loved this couple. But I also loved the friendship the FMC had as she made Friends with Claire. Cute details and once again very entertaining. Highly recommend.

Both Asha and Clair’s story.

I was not looking forward to this book, because of the heartache that may come with it. I don’t like sad books. With that said I wished the story was more about Asha than Clair. I don’t mind Clair, but she already had her story, and she felt like a filler in this book, but I’m glad Bek turned out not to be such a douche, especially since I know he will have a book. I do recommend reading Ice Planet Holiday to get Clair’s story. Asha and Hemalow get there happily ever after. Narrators are great.

Sad and sweet

Even though This deals with a lost child and grieving parents that can’t communicate, this was very well told and narrated. Loved the ending!

My favorite of the series thus far!

I really love this story of Asha and Claire. I also think a new mom would love this read too! A lot of connection to the story for me too. And I think Asha is the coolest alien of all of them.

Best Performance

I really liked the narration of this book. I completely fell for Asha and her anxiety was heartbreaking. In this book, the performance was like none of the previous books and it held my interest until the end. 5 stars for my thoughts.

Barbarian's Hope

This was a very sweet and sad story about a woman who has lost a child and has a hard time dealing with her grief. I loved listening to this story. I look forward to listening to more stories from this author.

Dixon delivers again!

They’ve been in the background since the first book in the series - Asha and Hemalo, two Sakhui devastated by the loss of their baby.
It’s great to finally have their story of healing and reconciliation.
The author’s addition of Claire set off the storyline just right.
Dixon amazes me in how she can construct these stories so simply, but meaningfully. Who knew that a series about kidnapped Earth women who crash land on an alien planet and proceed to mate with the local aliens would just work? Smiles.
Jackson and Lloyd make a really good team to narrate this series. Their voices are really good in themselves and work great together. BIG kudos to whoever paired them up!
Recommend.
