Following an extraordinary inaugural collaboration last year, Audible Theater and TOGETHER, the theatrical partnership led by Sonia Friedman and Hugh Jackman, are pleased to announce the return of Hannah Moscovitch’s Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes with Ella Beatty and Hugh Jackman, and directed by Ian Rickson, to launch their 2026 season. Performances run from March 17 – April 20 at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City.

Additional programming for Audible Theater and TOGETHER’s 2026 season will be announced soon. Driven by a shared commitment to accessibility, 25% of the house for every performance will have $35 tickets, available only on the day of show through TodayTix or in person at the Minetta Lane box office. Tickets are now available at AudibleTheater.com.

Back by popular demand after an acclaimed and sold-out New York premiere run last year, Hugh Jackman and Ella Beatty return to star in Hannah Moscovitch’s award-winning Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes, a New York Times Critic’s Pick that was hailed by the Times as “a terrific, tightly plaited knot of a play.” A provocative and razor-sharp examination of desire, power, and blurred boundaries, this gripping drama is an intimate exploration of agency and perspective that will leave you questioning your own assumptions long after it ends.

Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes is available on Audible, extending the show’s reach to millions of listeners across the globe. The Audible Original was also praised for its “incredible performances by Jackman and Beatty” (Collider).

Sonia Friedman and Hugh Jackman said: “Our first season proudly united remarkable artists and welcomed the widest possible audience into the beloved Minetta Lane to discover visceral theater. We’re energized to return to New York with our artistic collaborators Ian Rickson and the team at Audible to present a rotating season of productions while upholding our shared commitment: ensuring live theater is accessible through approachable ticketing and also extending its life through audio. Our unique Audible and TOGETHER collaboration shows what becomes possible when artistic excellence and genuine access work hand in hand.”

Kate Navin, Audible Head of Creative Development for North America, said: “Last year’s collaboration with TOGETHER set a new standard, and we’re proud to build upon our shared vision with Sonia, Hugh, Ian, and the entire creative team with this second season. Hannah Moscovitch’s riveting play returns following its acclaimed live run and audio release, and we’re excited to share more programming details soon. By offering these productions as Audible Originals on our service, we’re able to make exceptional theater accessible anywhere, from our intimate Minetta Lane stage to listeners across the globe.”

Audible Theater and TOGETHER’s acclaimed, sold-out first season in 2025 also included Jen Silverman’s New York Times Critic’s Pick adaptation of August Strindberg’s Creditors, with Liev Schreiber, Maggie Siff, and Justice Smith. Creditors is available now on Audible. Audible Theater and TOGETHER distributed over 13,000 affordable and complimentary tickets to community organizations over the course of the eight-week season.
