She's on the run from a violent past. He solves his problems with a sword.

Fleeing a life of abuse, Sheri climbs aboard a mail-order-mate spaceship bound for a distant station but never arrives.... Fate intervenes, and her trip takes a quick, deadly turn when she crashes on the planet Atera. She's surrounded by endless sand dunes, dangerous creatures, and alien beings that remind her of Earth lizards. But one particular lizard hardly leaves her thoughts - a sexy, two-legged, muscular male bent on protecting and caring for her at all costs.

Drazan is a fierce warrior, the strongest Ateran of the Red Sands. He rules his dunes with an iron fist and sharp sword and is honor bound to face all challengers to his position. During one of these battles, something strange happens. Fire rains from the skies, and a strange, black metal box filled with females crashes to the sands. All thoughts of fighting are lost to the allure of these odd humans - especially one deliciously curvy female who stirs his blood. Now, he finds himself with dark yearnings, strong need, and a hardness between his legs that he's never used before.

Contains mature themes.

The heroine was so annoying and I don’t like the narrative. The word “ my code” instead of “my mate” threw my off completely. Nevertheless, I managed to finished the book with great difficulty.

Not worth a credit

The main female character is so bullheaded ,argumentative, unappreciative, and just an all out dummy. She sets off for space to find a husband then crash land on a planet, a sand planet with creatures in the sand very dangerous place. the inhabitants come to help her and what does she do? she argue

Omg!!!! another one

I like this world and the people. Although the female main character is so very frustrating and it makes me want scream at her very frequently. The main male character is hot headed and so very caring in an over protective caveman kinda way.

Wonderful world great story telling.

It was a cute little story about intergalactic love due to close proximity. Not dramatic but satisfying

I have always loved alien romances and just recently gotten into lizard like alien romances. This was an audio version, and I wasn't enthused about the narrator, but it eventually worked for the story.

The story was interesting and engaging, and I am looking forward to more from the other clans.

I agree with many other reviews- I stopped listening bc the MFC is truly annoying! Why sign up for an alien mate service if you are so bullheaded and judgmental when other women clearly choose to get to know the aliens. Very contrary- feel bad for her mate.

Female character ruins this

Celia Kyle never disappoints out in the universe we can’t always expect humanoids in every planet. She blends these two cultures well. I can’t wait for the next book.

New wonders

The story wasn't so bad I actually thought it was pretty cute at times but the female character got on my nerves constantly accusing the male lead of this and that when he was being sincere then would fill some type away when he would get mad I also feel like the ending was rush and her following for him was rather quick

The male character was amazing but
