Let's Meet with your personality being Parents!

I like this book. As it contains knowledge about parenting.
Every parent tries to do best for their kids but sometimes they think that they are not doing well. Although, the fact is that they do not evaluate themselves. So if you want to become the best parent then self evaluation is an important element to check your parenting abilities.

In this regard, you can take help from this guide to improve yourself. It makes your life more peaceful and it is such a useful book. It is applicable for all teens to grown up adults. Highly recommended!

Must have in all housholds

I am very impressed by how the author has written this book. It goes in-depth on how to do parenting and become a better parent. In today’s society, it is getting harder and harder to raise kids as a parent I know the struggles all parents go through. Use this book as a reference and follow what it says. It will help you a great deal. Must have in all home libraries. I plan to share this book with my daughter to become a better parent raising her kids.

Messages I needed to hear

As a parent, I am often frustrated. I find myself shifting blame between me or my kid when things do not go as I expect. This book offers a different path. The author recommends three simple, straightforward, and practical steps to set up guardrails on my own expectations. I realize now that has been part of the problem. Not only were my expectations too high/too low/made up, but I also had no boundaries.

He reinforces the idea that what is "right" depends highly on context. That is an idea I often forget when I allow my Judeo-Christian values to overwhelm my common sense. The book also reminds me that "growing up" is a two-way street. Kids have to grow up, but so I do--as a parent.

I am encouraged to remember that by following these steps, my child sees me "walk the walk" rather than just "talk the talk." Kids watch our feet much more than they listen to our words. So if I model how to set my intention, create clear goals, and follow through with the actions that support them, that goes much further than just barking at my kid.

As the author points out, no child comes with an owner's manual. But because of the clear writing and a persistent focus on things we can control as parents (namely, what we think, how we speak, and how we act), this is as close to that manual as I have ever encountered.

If you have children, I highly recommend this book. It is a terrific way to pass along healthy habits and raise them in a way that shakes out the crazy from the tree.

How Your Personality Influences your Parenting

Parenting a child has been the hardest thing I’ve done in my life. I picked up this book because I’ve taken this personality test in the past and was interested to see how it lined up with ways to parent. It certainly gave valuable tips. My child is only one year old right now but I will stay open minded to considering his personality style as well in the future when parenting. Overall great read!

Deep book! Dealing with parental personality types- Well done!

This was a well thought out book. I am familiar with some aspects of psychology and enneagrams and for them to be easily laid out as it pertains to parenting, was a very nice touch. I saw many of my attributes and shortcomings in this book and it will help me be more conscious of my decision making and reactions.

I really liked the principles behind this book. The writer lays it out in simple, easy to understand terms without making you feel like a terrible parent. I feel armed and ready to conquer some of the challenges I face as a parent! Parenting has never come with an instruction manual, but this audiobook just might be the solution to that problem.

Delivers on its promise!

Through this book, you get to understand your behaviors better and be able to communicate and bond with your child(ren) more effectively. I have had many take-homes from it, but here are my top three:
* Know your purpose in parenting; it will help with the difficult choices. I especially benefited from the questions to help discover that purpose.
* Watch your mindset; it needs to be based on truth, adaptability, and progress, not perfection. Boy, was this freeing!
* My best parenting style. I am enneagram 8 and I tend to be controlling. I learnt here how to temper that and use my strengths to my advantage.
I can't recommend this book enough.

Advice customized to your personality

I had never thought about considering my parenting style in terms of my enneagram. But it makes sense. My personality type affects all other aspects of my life, so why not my parenting style too? I thought it was very helpful to have parenting advice that applied directly to me and my specific enneagram. And if you don't know what an enneagram is, don't worry. He explains it. I also liked that he spoke to how to deal with a lot of specific situations, such as a rebellious child.
