Findings to a moment
In a story read from C. Vine is sultry and delightfully beautiful. The story is a good listen when you just want to step away from reality. It is a good day to get into the world of looking at what you need, not who can want.

Sexy times abound
Lots of steamy scenes lathered onto a thin plot. Cannot listen to this in the car as the MCs have an insatiable appetite for one another, definitely a headphones only book! This was an easygoing book. The drama was minute even though each dilemma was quite serious. Seemed to pale in comparison to the dialogue between the MCs. Fun, easy read. Narrator didn't change her voice much between characters so you do get a wee confused at times trying to decipher who's speaking.

Some intriguing surprises in this romance/mystery
NO spoilers here! You’ll just have to take my word for it! The narration was excellent, though a little slow for me, so I adjusted it to 1.1 and it was perfect! An easy listen with evolving characters that have lots of chemistry and seem to discover themselves as they discover each other.

Sapphic novel that isn’t a slow burn! Yay!
I liked this book a lot. Both main characters are likeable and I didn’t want to stop listening because I HAD TO KNOW what happens next. I love that this is not a slow burn. They both figure out what they want and go for it. Raquel de Leon is now a favorite author for me and Carmen Vine? Don’t get me started.. What a great narrator!

Really Good!!
Wow! This was really good! There was so much going on in this story, but the pace and the flow made it easy to follow.
Vivian and April had a rough start - ice queen boss and newly hired investigator - not even liking each other at all. Of course, that just means hotter fireworks when they do get together! 🔥🔥 Their relationship seems to just come together so easily, and it was kinda cute. What made this story even more interesting was all the stuff going on - they each had traumatic pasts, Vivian's partner was an issue, and then family, friends, and coworkers...it was a lot, but it folded in so nicely!
If you're looking for an easy read that has a little bit of everthing...give this one a shot!
