Publisher's summary

Hayden Taylor is running out of time.

After going to bed with a beautiful woman he met at a bar, Hayden discovers he has an unquenchable thirst and the body of a pro athlete. Between the six pack abs and the extreme hangover, he can't decide if last night was a good thing or...something else.

Hayden quickly discovers that, if left unchecked, this thirst could end up killing him, but only if he fails to find the woman who turned him.

What's more, there's something unique about him, even among the vampires. Hayden isn't like the rest of them. There's something in his blood - something magical, almost otherworldly - and it's beginning to attract the wrong kind of attention.

Warning: This book contains a harem, violence, and cursing.

Like but not love.

As a fantasy harem story this book it kept my interest. The main character’s lack of agency in the plot moving forward along with the foreknowledge given such as the title of the book the narrative lacks the mystery to make this tale great.

This makes me want to get the rest

This was a good story. The characters were and the situation that the MC had to deal with was well written. The story left a lot of untold storylines that I look forward to discovering as I get the next book/audible

It was okay

Male leads/male written books are usually not my cup of tea. I decided to go with this book, because the narrator was spunky and could keep my attention, he was good with everything except the action scenes he fell flat for me. I wish I was able to keep up with it more. It might have been the writing though I’m not sure 🤔 I enjoyed most of the story, it was all very predictable, but I don’t unusually mind that so much. It was nice. I was getting slightly bored at the end. The “cliffhanger” wasn’t enough to make me wanna pick up the next book right away, but I might eventually.

Good Story

Wow, what a book - a mixture of magic and vampire. Nice work. Truly enjoy the story and the performance. I highly recommend this book to listener who enjoy fantasy. Be forewarned: there are a lot of explicit sex. Nevertheless, it is worth reading/listening.

Could’ve been great.

This book could’ve been amazing, however the constant sex “scenes” were just too much.

I am not sex adverse, actually I love sex however the amount of gratuitous sex was off putting. To the point that I had to keep skipping those parts.

Too bad, it could’ve been so good.

Sex scenes got SO BORING

The best part of this mess is the narrator, he does a truly excellent job. The snide and self
The plot even has potential, and I have no problem with sex scenes, but come on, a sex scene every chapter isn’t exciting or scandalous, it’s just dull and lazy.
The main character is the definition of “mediocre white guy gets everything handed to him”. If Mike Judge took a swing at this plot it would be HILARIOUS, but this book takes its mediocrity much to seriously to be fun.
It’s shame too, I bet if you dropped 75% of the repetitive, vanilla, sex scenes, you’d have something.
