Publisher's summary

As they fight a war of good and evil in our world, the Fairy Tales need a protector.

All I wanted to do was take a break from college to check out LegendFest, some good ol' cosplay, and maybe find a lady to hit it off with. You never know, right?

My life took a new direction, though, when I found out myths like Red Riding Hood are real, and they’re in an ongoing war against evil to save us all. More than that, they are being hunted, mistaken as humanity's enemy. They need a mortal to serve as their protector, someone to keep them out of harm's way while leading the battle against the likes of the Big Bad Wolf, Baba Yaga, and other evil legends.

Now, I am that protector.

It's a tough job, but it's everything I've ever dreamed of. Even more so when Red and some of the other ladies show interest in me in more ways than just my ability to wield a magic blade.

Note: It gets saucy. We have fun on the streets and even more in the sheets, so you might not want to hear my tale if sexy fun scares you more than witches and ghouls. If you're a fan of Once Upon a Time or Fables/Wolf Among Us but also enjoy harem and the spice of life, this book's for you.

Original and Hot as Hell

Jamie Hawke really blew me away here. I didn't know what to expect when I picked this up. The premise sounded crazy to be honest. I fired it up making a long late night drive and it really got the hooks in me man. The action is good and the story is original and interesting, it has plenty of hot sex scenes that really deliver. One of my favorite things on Audible right now.

What a Rollercoaster

The characters of childhood are given a more modern and grown up spin...this story will have you laughing at some scenes...shaking your head at others and hoping no one notices your blush in some...all over an amazing story which I can't wait to hear the next one to find out what our heros get into next

Consistent Jamie Hawke book

Protagonist: Check
Harem of hotties: Check
Lot of pussy references: Buffer overflow error.

Really enjoyed Teddy Hamilton’s performance as well.

Would have liked more introspection on the classes and the growth tree. Or a slightly clearer essence gathering mechanism.

Get past the first chapter

As usual with Jamie Hawke, at least for me, the first chapter almost makes me want to stop. If you can get past it and like this type of story it’s a good listen.

I don’t know something about how they start just comes off as weird but then you kinda set in, get the pace of the story and you’re good to go.

Had potential

So this is a raunchy story. And the description of such is equivalent to watching the static channels of old. It’s something it’s not a useful something. The story could actually have been decent without it. It is comically poorly described with how descriptive those scenarios are.

was not expecting this type of story. It was different and not meant for sensitive ears.

Myths are real!

The story is…different, at least for me, although I understand there are similar series out there. Fairy Tale characters are divided between Myths (good) and Legends (bad). It boils down to the age-old good versus evil trope. Our sex-weary hero Jack, at a LegendFest convention, is being considered for recruitment by both sides. His addiction to video games, and his attraction to a display sword, sealed the deal. Jack was convinced to join the Myths. Now, aside from the numerous sex scenes, the battle for good versus evil commences. And there are numerous sexcapades. If you are not into this type of series, I suggest you pass. Three.point.five.
